Ms. Selma Festus is the Project Assistant for the Southern African Renewable Heating and Cooling Training and Demonstration Initiative (SOLTRAIN+) project at SACREEE. Prior to joining SACREEE. She plays a key role in the implementation and coordination of the SOLTRAIN+ project, serving as a member of the Gender and Diversity Core Team.
Academically, Selma holds an Honours degree in Human Resources Management and a Postgraduate Diploma in Environmental Studies with a specialisation in Renewable Energy Projects.
Her professional interests include renewable energy management, project management, environmental and social research, climate change, gender and diversity mainstreaming, and sustainable development. Selma is committed to bridging the gender gap in the renewable energy sector while contributing to evidence-based research and policy-relevant knowledge in Namibia and the SADC region.
