
Ms. Munashe Mukonoweshuro is a dedicated Climate Change Scientist with a proven track record in policy development, climate finance, climate technology development and transfer as well as project management. As Principal Climate Change Scientist at Zimbabwe’s Environment, Climate, and Wildlife Ministry, she coordinates national compliance with the UNFCCC and Paris Agreement, developing climate policy and regulatory frameworks and reporting on their implementation. Her work spans leading complex climate projects, securing multi-million-dollar grants (GCF, CTCN, AF, GEF), and translating complex science into accessible policy briefs and presentations for public consumption. Ms Mukonoweshuro holds a MSc in Climate Change and Sustainable Development from Bindura University, with additional credentials from Curtin University, University of Zimbabwe, and international bodies. Her expertise encompasses climate finance, policy analysis, project M&E, and strategic stakeholder engagement, driving low carbon climate resilience and sustainable development across Zimbabwe.
