Jenipher Chigerwe is a Zimbabwean sustainable energy researcher, educator, and community innovator affiliated with the Department of Fuels and Energy Engineering at Midlands State University. She holds academic training in Mechanical and Energy engineering and has specialised in renewable energy technologies, clean cooking systems, and climate change mitigation. She has a vast experience and passionate about solar thermal technologies and has attended several trainings and conducted trainings of the same.
Her achievements include being appointed the Soltrain Gender manager for Zimbabwe and being awarded a corporate gender champion award by the Zimbabwe Institution of Engineering -Women in Engineering category. She has contributed to community outreach programmes promoting affordable household energy solutions. she is passionate about women participating and leading in the energy sector.
