Mr. Victor Sibanda is an Energy enthusiast with more than a decade of invaluable experience in energy efficiency, energy management, energy planning and energy economics, systems compliance audits, regulations, and policy development. Delivered capital projects on LED lighting retrofit, solar water heating and electrification of rural institutions. Presented papers in the Region on regulatory issue covering lighting systems, energy efficiency, electricity safety and energy sector in Zimbabwe.
Currently the Research and Energy Efficiency Engineer at Zimbabwe Energy Regulatory Authority, responsible for regulations and policy development on energy efficiency as well as research and development management and administration. Recent focus on heritage-based research studies on biomass resource potential, solar medium temperature technology, efficient tobacco curing, floating drum biogas and lithium battery development.
Experience in the electricity supply industry, project development and telecommunication in SADC region. A Certified Energy Manager, Certified Energy Auditor, Certified Measurement and Verification Professional and Industrial Energy Efficiency.
