
Mr. Innocent Madziva is the current United Nations Industrial Development Organisation Country Representative in Zimbabwe. Mr. Innocent Madziva joined UNIDO in June 2025. Innocent is an experienced economist and public policy specialist with more than 20 years of expertise in industrial development, investment promotion, macroeconomic modeling, national development planning, taxation, and project management.
He has held several positions within the Government of Zimbabwe, including Director of Industrial Development, Director of Investment Promotion & Export Development, Acting Director of Strategic Policy Planning, Deputy Director of Economic Planning & Economic Modelling, Chief Economist for Revenue and Tax Policy, in addition to roles in Project Management.
Innocent holds a Master in Business Administration degree, specializing in Economics & Finance and a Bachelor of Science Honours in Economics degree, both from the University of Zimbabwe. He is also a Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of Eastern and Southern Africa (MEFMI) Fellow, specializing in Natural Resources Management.
