Mr. Farai Kanonda is a seasoned infrastructure development and finance professional with more than 25 years of experience leading major public and private sector projects across Africa. His expertise spans the full project lifecycle, with a particular focus on power, energy, and transport infrastructure. He brings deep skills in project financial structuring, advisory services, sustainable development, climate resilience, and renewable energy deployment.
In his current role, Farai oversees the strategic direction, business development, due diligence, supervision, monitoring, and evaluation of the Bank’s operations in the energy sector. He is based in the African Development Bank’s Southern Africa Business Delivery Unit in Pretoria, where he supports and guides operations across thirteen countries.
