Mr. Doumeraj Jahajeeah

    Mr. Doumeraj Jahajeeah serves as Director of Technical Services at the Ministry of Energy and Public Utilities (MEPU) in Mauritius, where he leads policy development and project implementation in the energy, water, and wastewater sectors. With over 30 years of experience across public and private sectors, he specializes in energy planning and policy, water resources management, and environmental engineering. As the focal point for SADC, IRENA, SACREEE, ISA, and IAEA, Mr. Jahajeeah drives Mauritius’s renewable energy transition, having spearheaded key initiatives including the Electric Vehicle Integration Roadmap, the Renewable Energy Bill, offshore wind farm development, and biomass adoption for electricity generation. He holds a B.Tech (Hons.) in Civil Engineering from the University of Mauritius and an MSc in Hydraulic Engineering from UNESCO-IHE Institute for Water Education, Delft, The Netherlands.
