DI Christoph Brunner is the Managing Director of AEE- Institute for Sustainable Technologies, a leading European institute for applied research in the field of renewable energy and resource efficiency. His scientific work focuses on efficiency improvements and the integration of renewable energies for industry, as well as the use of water treatment technologies for the recovery of recyclable materials.
DI Brunner has been project coordinator for several national and international projects in Europe, Asia, Africa and South America. He is a member of the Board of the European Technology Platform for Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC-ETIP) and a member of the public–private partnership A.SPIRE, a European network focused on the decarbonisation of industry. He is also a UNIDO expert in energy efficiency, a lecturer at the University of Applied Sciences Burgenland and FH JOANNEUM, and the Austrian representative to the International Energy Agency (IEA) for sustainable heating and cooling.
