Mr. António Eugênio Manda

    Mr. António Eugénio Manda, an economist born in Mozambique on March 1, 1970, has built a robust career in economics and public administration. He holds a degree in Economics, having earned a Master of Science (MSc) from the Financial University of Moscow, Russia, between 1990 and 1996.
    Mr. Manda has extensive experience in various key governmental roles within Mozambique, particularly in the energy sector. From 2001 to 2004, he served as the Head of the Planning Department in the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy. Later, from 2005 to 2011, he became the Head of the Financial Department in the Ministry of Energy, followed by his promotion to Deputy National Director for Planning and Studies within the same ministry (2011–2015). In 2016, he was appointed Financial Director of the National Institute of Employment and Vocational Training. By 2017, Manda assumed the role of National Director of Planning and Cooperation at the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy, a position he held until June 2023, before transitioning to his current role as Permanent Secretary of the same ministry.
    Over the years, António Manda has also participated in numerous specialized training programs worldwide, enhancing his skills in petroleum policy, financial management, project planning, and energy policy. Fluent in Portuguese, English, Russian, and Ki-Swahili, his proficiency in these languages complements his international experience.
