Mr. Denis Ariho, from Uganda is the Lead Technical Expert, Energy Efficiency for Sustainable Livelihoods in Africa (EELA)-Regional Window based at the East African Centre of Excellence for Renewable Energy and Efficiency (EACREEE). He has 15 years’ experience in renewable energy and energy efficiency. He has experience in designing, planning, implementation, commissioning, quality assurance, monitoring and evaluation for energy projects. He has conducted energy audits, feasibility studies, design, trainings, and advisory services for renewable energy and energy efficiency projects. He is a Corporate Member of Uganda Institution of Professional Engineers (UIPE), Registered Engineer in Uganda, Certified Energy Auditor (CEA), and Certified Energy Manager (CEM).
He holds Master of Science in Energy Engineering and Management of Instituto Superior Técnico (IST), Lisbon-Portugal; Master of Science in Renewable Energy of Universitat Politècnica de Catalunya (UPC), Barcelona-Spain; and Bachelor of Science in Agricultural Engineering of Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda.
