Mr. Damião Victor Namuera has over 15 years of experience in the energy sector, specializing in renewable energy and strategic planning. He is currently Head of the Renewable Energy Department at the National Energy Directorate of the Ministry of Mineral Resources and Energy of Mozambique, a position he has held since 2015. He has played a central role in the formulation and implementation of national policies, strategies, and programs aimed at expanding access to energy, developing mini-grids, integrating renewable energy, and promoting a just energy transition. Throughout his career, he has actively participated in regional SADC initiatives and international cooperation platforms, contributing to the alignment of Mozambique’s energy priorities with regional goals for sustainability, market integration, and energy security.
