Ms Hendrina Shinime is a dedicated administrative professional with over 10 years’ experience in project administration, specialising in donor funded initiatives. Based in Windhoek, she has served as the Administrative Secretary at the Namibia Energy Institute (NEI) at the Namibia University of Science and Technology (NUST) since July 2015. In this role, Ms Shinime oversees the full project administration cycle, ensuring compliance with institutional policies and donor requirements. Her responsibilities include monitoring project timelines, coordinating events, managing project logistics, and administering project budgets.
She also serves as SOLTRAIN+ project Gender Manager at the Namibia Energy Institute. In this capacity, she promotes gender diversity within the Renewable Heating and Cooling (RHC) sector by encouraging women’s participation, supporting capacity building initiatives, and creating sustainable pathways for women’s involvement in all project activities. Ms Shinime holds a Bachelor of Communication from the former Polytechnic of Namibia and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Educational Planning and Administration at NUST.
