Prof. Nelago Indongo

    Prof. Dr. Nelago Indongo is a distinguished Namibian social scientist and academic specializing in population studies, climate change policy, and sustainable development. She is the current Executive Director of the Southern African Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL). She leads climate change and land management programs in Angola, Botswana, Namibia, South Africa, and Zambia from the Regional Secretariat in Windhoek. Prof. Indongo holds a DPhil in Sociology from the University of Pretoria, a Master’s from the University of Southampton, and a Bachelor of Science from UNAM. Known for her leadership in interdisciplinary research and promoting sustainable development, Prof. Indongo advocates for green economy initiatives.
