Prof. Edward Dintwa is Professor of Mechanical Engineering and current Dean of the Faculty of Engineering and Technology at University of Botswana. He obtained a PhD degree in Applied Bioscience Engineering from the Katholieke Universiteit Leuven, Belgium; and was a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Department of Biosystems, in the same university from 2007 to 2008. He joined the University of Botswana in February 2011, from the National Food Technology Research Centre, Kanye, where he was Principal Research Scientist, having worked there for 13 years. He has previously worked for several years as a consultant engineer for engineering firms LASCO Engineering and ARUP Botswana. He has spent 6 years in the Council of the Botswana Bureau of Standards, where he has been Deputy Chairman and Chairman. He is highly active in research and is widely published and cited internationally. His research interest is in: solar energy solutions, thermal energy systems, mechanization, process engineering systems, & Computational Modelling of Mechanical Systems
