Ms. Taboka Motlhabane, is a Technical Advisor, at Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) and having previously worked in consultancy, and academia, among other sectors in the energy space. Ms. Motlhabane has experience in renewable energy project development, risk assessments and management, strategic business continuity planning, project management, research & development (R&D) and asset maintenance. Ms. Motlhabane is currently an advisor and country representative for the Project Development Programme (PDP) in Botswana at GIZ, which supports local commercial and industrial consumers with high energy bills with free and impartial advice on their potential renewable energy journey, support with solar pre-feasibility studies, and support to explore opportunities for collaboration with private sector developers and international SMEs to support more local companies with market access.
Ms. Motlhabane holds an M.Eng in Mechanical and Energy Engineering from the Botswana International University of Science and Technology (BIUST), is a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance and holds a certificate in Energy Efficiency and Sustainability. She is also a One Young World scholar, a WomEng SADC Leadership and Innovation Fellow and YALI & Power Africa Women in African Power alumni.
