Mr. Shepherd M Nyambe is the Founder of ShepThyGuru Energy Sciences, a company dedicated to reducing carbon emissions through innovative renewable energy solutions, including green hydrogen and biomass technologies. As an award winning early-career researcher and sustainability advocate, Shepherd has led impactful projects such as the development of PV Solar Thermo Heaters, which address energy poverty and promote local economic empowerment in Namibia. Mr. Nyambe’s work has been recognized globally, earning him accolades like the Young Scientist Award from the Regional University Forum (RUFORUM) and being named a Future Energy Leader by the World Energy Council. His research on the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) has influenced policy discussions on sustainable trade and development across Africa.
With a background in Applied Biochemistry, he is currently pursuing political science at the University of Namibia, Shepherd combines his academic insights with hands-on innovation to drive the energy transition in Southern Africa. In addition to his professional pursuits, he is an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers Community, advocating for youth leadership in climate action. Beyond his professional life, Shepherd enjoys mentoring young innovators and exploring sustainable energy technologies to foster a greener future.
