Mr. Noah Asinge is a Project Associate supporting the operations of the Global Network of Sustainable Energy Centres (GN-SEC) Programme under the Just Energy Transition Unit of the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO). His professional experience spans over six years mainly focussed on accelerating sustainable energy access in Sub-Saharan Africa at both national and regional levels.
Before joining UNIDO, Noah worked with the Energizing Development (EnDev) programme of the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ) supporting the implementation of projects in the thematic areas of access to clean cooking and renewable energy for productive use focusing on Sub-Saharan Africa. He also served as a GIZ-designated program officer with the Uganda National Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Alliance (UNREEEA) supporting market development work for renewable energy and energy efficiency within Uganda and at the East African level.
He holds a Master of Science Degree in Renewable Energy Management from the Cologne University of Applied Sciences in Germany. He is also a Certified Expert in Climate and Renewable Energy Finance from the Frankfurt School of Finance and a Bachelor of Science graduate in Environmental Science (Energy and Environment Major) from Makerere University in Uganda.
