Mr. Désiré Armand Ndemazagoa Backotta

    With thirty-seven years of experience in the water and energy, Mr. Désiré Armand NDEMAZAGOA BACKOTTA is recognized for its expertise in planning, development of policies, programs, as well as for his skills in management and technical assistance. Mr. Désiré Armand NDEMAZAGOA BACKOTTA played a role key in the preparation of the “ECCAS and CEMAC White Paper on access to energy, adopted in May 2015. He initiated the project of Booué and Tsengue Leledi hydroelectric dams in Gabon, with an installed capacity of 720 MW, a project selected among the PAP PIDA 2 priority projects. He led the process of creating the Center for Energy Renewables and Energy Efficiency in Central Africa (ECREEAC), and the Regional Regulatory Commission of Electricity of Central Africa (CORREAC). Before joining ECCAS, he held various management positions. responsibility, including Director of Studies and Planning at Ministry in charge of energy of the Central African Republic. He has also been Coordinator of several infrastructure projects energy and hydraulics, financed by technical partners and financial. He holds an Engineering Diploma in Rural Equipment, option Rural engineering, and is certified in project development and financing sustainable infrastructure. In the Central African national order of merit, he was elevated to the rank of COMMANDER.
