Mr. Marcus Courage is the Chief Executive Officer of Africa Practice, a mission-led advisory firm dedicated to developing inclusive markets that work for underserved communities in Africa. He has twenty five years’ experience capacitating organisations to co-create solutions that address complex business and development challenges, and unlock value.
Marcus is a former member of the SADC Investment Subcommittee Advisory Council, a member of the Invest in African Mining Indaba Policy Advisory Committee. He has served as an adviser to the NEPAD secretariat, the African Mining Vision secretariat, the African Union Commission, Make Poverty History, and several government ministries and agencies.
Prior to founding Africa Practice in 2003, Marcus served as director of international affairs for an NYSE-listed firm advising governments on how to secure preferential terms of trade and attract investment.
