
Dr. Budzanani Tacheba is the Interim Executive Director at the Southern Africa Science Service Centre for Climate Change and Adaptive Land Management (SASSCAL) based in Windhoek, Namibia. He also serves as Director, Science and Technology / Capacity Development, overseeing SASSCAL Research Portfolio, Capacity Development, Products and Services from the regional initiatives. He previously served as founding Director, Innovation and Technology at the Botswana Digital and Innovation Hub (BDIH), where his portfolio responsibilities included spearheading research and technology funding, Entrepreneurship development and commercialization. He previously held positions of Research Fellow at the University of Botswana (Okavango Research Institute) and later as Regional Coordinator-Southern Africa, Global Monitoring for Food Security Consortium led by Flemish Institute of Technology (VITO). He provides mentorship to start-up companies and serves in the Botswana Postal Services Board. Previously served in the Botswana Geoscience Institute Board.
