Ms. Asteria Markus is a certified Energy Policy Officer with a Master in Global Energy Transition and Governance. She currently pursuing a PhD in Sustainable Development. She is a Program Support Officer at SACREEE under the Energy Efficiency for Sustainable Livelihood in Africa which is being implemented by UNIDO in collaboration with SACREEE, EACREEE and ECOWAS in the three regions. Asteria also supports gender mainstreaming and diversity aspects of other projects such as SOLTRAIN+ as a Gender Manager at SACREEE. She has more than 15 years’ experience in local government, corporate and international development sectors. Before joining SACREEE she worked for the Delegation of European Union in Namibia. Asteria is Member of the Global Women’s Network in Energy Transition.
