Ms. Sandiswa Qayi is a cleantech innovator, co-founder, & Managing Director of AET AFRICA, a company dedicated to innovation in energy efficiency for water heating and cooling in buildings. Her expertise extends globally, serving on the advisory board for the UNIDO Global Cleantech Innovation Program (GCIP) and as cleantech innovation expert for the Technology Innovation Agency (TIA). Armed with a master’s in development studies and a postgraduate business management certificate, Sandiswa has participated in several international leadership and management programs at prestigious institutions like Basel, MIT, and Aachen. She boasts over a decade of experience and numerous awards in energy efficiency, specifically in cleantech innovation and commercialization. Co-author of a published article on hotspot geyser sleeves, Sandiswa frequently contributes her insights as a panellist on various platforms and topics, including energy efficiency, cleantech innovation, sustainable development, gender, and finance policy development. She has collaborated with organizations like UNIDO, International Energy Agency (IEA) and the Energy Efficiency Movement on both local and international stages.
