Dr. Theddeus Akano is an accomplished academic and researcher with over 18 years of experience, currently serving as a Senior Lecturer in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Botswana. His expertise spans computational methods in nonlinear mechanics, intelligent modelling, robotics, finite element method and multiphysics design, control systems engineering, and machine learning applications.
Dr. Akano has made significant contributions to his field through both innovative research and teaching methods. He is currently leading a team working on the retrofitting of a 4WD ICE motor vehicle into a complete Electric Vehicle. His research has been widely recognized, with numerous publications in high-impact journals and presentations at both local and international conferences, where he has also served as a keynote speaker.
In recognition of his dedication to academia, Dr. Akano was awarded the Active Reviewer Award. He is passionate about mentoring students and is deeply committed to collaborative research projects aimed at advancing engineering knowledge. Beyond his academic career, Dr. Akano explores AI applications in Society and is an avid drummer.
