
Prof. Ashmore Mawire holds a PhD in Applied Physics from the North-West University in South Africa which he obtained in 2010. Prof. Mawire is a Professor in the Department of Physics and Electronics at the North-West University. Prof. Mawire is the Director, and the principal researcher in the solar thermal group of the Material Science, Innovation and Modelling (MaSIM) research focus area. His research interests include electronic instrumentation, renewable energy systems, heat transfer, solar food processing and solar thermal energy storage technology. Prf. Mawire has published many high-impact factor ISI journal articles and presented papers at several peer-reviewed international conferences. His research is mainly focused on domestic solar thermal energy storage applications. Prof. Mawire is an Associate Editor of the Journal of Energy Storage. He is also an Editor of Scientific African which promotes research endeavours from researchers in Africa. Additionally, He has received several national and international research grants geared towards Sustainable Energy Technologies.
