Zimbabwe is a land of remarkable beauty and diversity, ranging from low lying semi desert areas to lush highlands strewn with forests and lakes. The country is divided into three broad climatic regions: the central plateau, which covers most of the country and is generally temperate; the low lying areas, such as the Zambezi Valley, which are significantly warmer and drier with hot summers; and the Eastern Highlands, which are cooler with much higher year round rainfall.
Victoria Falls has a sub-tropical climate marked by distinct wet and dry seasons. During the wet season (Mid-November to April) is characterized by hot, humid weather with frequent afternoon thunderstorms. Temperatures typically range from 25°C to 35°C during the day.
